UNITED STATES: Autobots roll out! Finally, the much-awaited Transformers: Rise of the Beasts skyrockets fan excitement with a high-octane trailer. The highly-anticipated film from Paramount Pictures fuels the hype by showcasing the 90’s era brimming with Autobots and more from the Transformers universe.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts trailer provides a nostalgic vibe with a 90’s setting
Michael Bay’s directorial film series can be considered a blueprint for the Transformers franchise. The Bayverse has its fair share of flaws, mainly being a story, but we can’t ignore the action and CGI it has pulled out in the finest manner. The nostalgia triggers even today if we watch the Transformers (2007) trailer with Linkin Park’s electrifying music.
Coming back to the current series, it has offered a new vision in the film franchise, which seems like a reboot in the universe. With John Cena and Hailey Steinfeld starrer Bumble Bee, the new universe kick-started in 2019.
Now Transformers: Rise of the Beasts lands as the second installment in the series, with a new team joining the film. The trailer commences with a top view shot of a dense jungle which later fades to black showcasing, “FOR MILLIONS OF YEARS OUR WORLD HAS TRANSFORMED, BUT SOMETHING ELSE HAS AWAKENED.”
Following the intro scene, we get a rocking entry scene of Optimus Primal, leader of Maximals. The roaring of the new Transformer attracts another attention. Then the scene shifts to the electrifying entry of Optimus Prime, leader of Autobots.
Optimus Prime activates the blaster pointing towards Primal with a robust dialogue, “Stand down!” in the iconic voice of Peter Cullen. Later the trailer accelerates with the Autobots, Maximals, Predacons and Terrocons performing breathtaking fight scenes, which promise that the film will be high on action.
The teaser also features Arcee, Mirage, Wheeljack, and, yes, our favorite Bumblebee. Besides Autobots, the clip also introduces us to Miximals, including Airazor, Rhinox, and Cheetor. The large-scale fight between the multitude of new Transformers provides a catalytic factor that hooks us with the clip.
Steven Caple Jr’s directorial Transformers: Rise of the Beasts stars Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, and Luna Lauren Velez in the lead. The film’s voice cast features Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, Peter Dinklage as Scourge, Pete Davidson as Mirage, and many more.
The film will follow the 90’s era as a center stage for the Transformers setting, which kind of gives a nostalgic feeling if we look at the retro animated series situated in the same era. The action-packed movie is set to hit big screens on June 9, 2023.
