Black Panther 2: Rihanna’s Song “Lift Me Up’’ is Officially Out

UNITED STATES: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is nearing its release date, slated within a few weeks. Before the release, the makers are promoting Marvel’s much-awaited sequel to Black Panther (2018) with numerous featurette. Now, the feature has bagged its first single, “Lift Me Up” by Rihanna.

Rihana earlier generated hype among fans by sharing a snippet of the latest music on Twitter. The short clip featured magical background music hinting to the fans something huge is set to unveil with the song’s release. The shared glimpse also pictured the letter ‘’R’’ written in the style of Black Panther fonts.

Ryan Coogler’s directorial Black Panther: Wakanda Forever received the official music. Rihanna has provided powerful vocals that breathe life into the song. The song begins with the singer’s soothing voice with enchanting lyrics, “Lift me up, hold me down.” The line “keep me safe and sound,” which lands in the middle of the music, also leaves a euphoric impact on us.

Following the powerful lyrics, the “Burning in a hopeless dream” line takes us on a symphonic turn that yet again leaves another addictive impression on us. The song ends with a soothing line, “We need light, we need love,’’ which gives a satisfying conclusion to the whole music.

Reacting to the music video, fans expressed their excitement. One fan added, ‘’you saved the music industry.’’ Another user tweeted, ‘’THE QUEEN IS BACK’’. ‘’Another reason to go watch the movie in the theatre,’’ commented the fan.

Besides the Black Panther 2’s first single, the teaser also featured ‘’No Women No Cry’’ by Bob Marley and the Wailers, which was perfectly merged with ‘’Alright’’ by Kendrick Lamar. Given the engaging and soothing song used in the film, it is guaranteed that the movie will be high on music.

Ryan Coogler added his directorial vision to Black Panther 2. The film stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurria, Winston Duke, and Dominique Thorne. Angela Bassett, Tenoch Huerta, Martin Freeman, Michaela Coel, and Florence Kasumba round up the star cast in prominent roles.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to arrive on big screens globally on November 11, 2022.
