UNITED STATES. Los Angeles: The high-octane, energetic song of MM Keeravaani, ‘Naatu Naatu’ bagged the Best Original Song at Oscars 2023. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone introduced the performance to everyone on the global platform as she was one of the presenters at the Oscars. The gorgeous actress donned an all-black mermaid dress with strapless puff sleeves.

Singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava performed the song at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, making everyone groove on their toes. The song also received a standing ovation from everyone. Actors Ram Charan and NTR Jr. were seen sitting in the audience and cheering for the singers with huge enthusiasm.

When asked if they were going to perform the song on stage, NTR Jr. said, “I don’t think that’s happening. I was looking forward to it happening. But, unfortunately, we didn’t have time to rehearse. We don’t want to go on the biggest stage in the world and go unprepared. So, we were busy, I was busy, and so was maybe Charan busy with a lot of prior commitments back home. So, I don’t think we will be performing, but our music director (MM) Keeravani, the singers of the song, Rahul (Sipligunj), and my brother (Kaala) Bhairava will be performing the song.”

The much-hyped SS Rajamouli directorial movie RRR was nominated for multiple categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor in a Supporting Role, and Best Actress in a Supporting Role, among others. Naatu Naatu competed with Tell It Like a Woman from the movie of the same name, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and This Is a Life from Everything Everywhere All at Once.
